ABOUT ME

A former expat currently based in the Washington, DC area, I split my time between parenting, work, volunteer work, and nurturing my love of portrait photography.

My style is bold and colorful, and I lean towards environmental portraiture. I am drawn to context, and always find myself reaching for the story around the subject. I’m always happy to find pretty backgrounds for clean, classic portraits; but I also love messy, unposed in-home sessions.

In the past, I’ve photographed USAID projects in Jordan, facilitated photography workshops for marginalized women through Lensational, and have worked as a photographer for a number of nonprofits and donor organizations in Ethiopia and Myanmar. I was a Flytographer for ten years in 3 countries, and have shown my travel photos in group Flytographer exhibits in Lisbon and Santorini.
